Center for Education in
Law and Democracy

The Center for Education in Law and Democracy website offers technical assistance to Colorado school districts interested in developing and enhancing civic education programs. Services include professional development for teachers.

International Relations
CTIR is the outreach arm of the University of Denver Graduate School of International Studies. CTIR has a 40 year history of helping K-12 educators teach about global affairs.
Colorado Close Up

Founded in 1979 by a group of Denver-area teachers, Colorado Close Up brings 450 students to Denver annually for a three day program where they interact with Colorado’s governmental leaders. They engage in a variety of activities that help them to understand how government functions.

Colorado Council for Economic Education There is a growing public awareness that a higher level of economic literacy is essential to the future economic well-being of our country. The mission of the Colorado Council on Economic Education (CCEE) is to meet this need by promoting and improving economic literacy in Colorado’s schools.

Colorado Historical Society

Founded in 1879, the Colorado Historical Society brings the unique character of Colorado's past to more than a million people each year through historical museums and highway markers, exhibitions, manuscript and photograph collections, popular and scholarly publications, historical and archaeological preservation services, and educational programs for children and adults.

and Science
The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is the Rocky Mountain region’s leading resource for informal science education. A variety of exhibitions, programs, and activities help Museum visitors experience the natural wonders of Colorado, Earth, and the universe.
Liberty Day

The basic concern of the Liberty Day effort is citizenship – that quality in Americans showing them to be sufficiently aware of and interested in their government to make them competent and responsible self-governing citizens.

Teaching East Asia The Program for Teaching East Asia (TEA) at the Center for Asian Studies conducts national, regional, and state projects designed to enhance and expand teaching and learning about East Asia at the elementary and secondary school levels. Specific projects focus on curriculum development, professional development for teachers, and curriculum consultation and reform related to Asia in K-12 education.
